Old Mountain Trivet is very nice, I like it, I didn't Know it was Made in China at the time of ordering, I can tell by the way it was Made, it feels a little Gritty, but it is very Strong, I haven't had any problems with it. I like to collect Cast Iron Pieces, however, for cooking I like to get the ones made in the USA from Lodge Cast Iron they are well made and very Smooth.
The Pre-Seasoned Trivet works well and it's Big Enough to Put a Frying Pan or a Hot Pot on Top Of It! ...and that's what I use it for, as a Trivet, I wouldn't put it inside a Pot to Cook Meat with some sort of Liquid, or any Food Items, for that, I'll stick to the Cast Iron Made in The USA!.. My Family and Friends really like this Trivet, that is the reason for the 5 Stars, I have Purchased many of them to give them as Gifts! ...Thank You D.D.

Great clearance on a wood stove
I needed a trivet to hold a large pot on my woodstove. In particular I needed sturdiness and a decent size leg. This trivet is great as you can see in the photo the length of the feet give lots of clearance. It does not come with rubber feet therefore I probably wouldn't use on a fine wood table. I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend.
